Who are eligible to nominate investors for the award?
Only an accredited investor, professional investor or startup founder/entrepreneur can nominate another accredited investor or professional investor for any category of the Siggie Awards.
Do I have to be an accredited investor, professional investor or an entrepreneur to nominate someone?
Yes.
How are Siggie Award winners selected?
Eligible nominators can nominate investors and entrepreneurs who meet the selection criteria. The Siggies Committee deliberates and votes to select the winner based on the selection criteria.
What are the selection criteria for the Siggie Awards?
The selection criteria to be used by the Siggies Committee will include:
ACCREDITATION - The nominee must be an accredited investor (meets certain SEC requirements for net worth and income)
PORTFOLIO DIVERSITY - The nominee must have a diverse portfolio of investments
ACTIVE – The nominee must be active and have done several investments per year.
LOCAL - The nominee must be investing/syndicating startups in Atlanta and surrounding areas
INVESTING AND MENTORING - Ideally, The nominee is active in growing & mentoring (not just investing in) the startups they invest in
ECOSYSTEM DEDICATION - Ideally, the nominee is committed to growing and supporting the ecosystem in Atlanta and surrounding areas, by investing time, money and resources
What is the deadline for nominations?
The deadline for nominations for the 2023 Siggie Awards is October 4th, 2023.
When are winners of the 2023 Siggie Awards expected to be announced?
Winners of the 2023 Siggie Awards are expected to be notified by the end of October 2023 or early November 2023.
I am having trouble submitting nominations through the website form. What should I do?
First, make sure you are using the latest version of the Chrome or Firefox browser and that all cache data has been wiped from the browser.
If that does not work, please email your nomination to sebastian@tie-atlanta.org. Please make sure to include which award you are nominating for, your and the nominee's full names and link to LinkedIn profiles alongside a description of why you are nominating that candidate.

Will the 2023 Siggie awards be held virtually or in-person?
We are pleased to announce that the 2023 Siggie Awards will be held exclusively in-person.
When and where is the Siggie Awards 2023 taking place?
The Siggie Awards 2023 will take place from 5.15 PM to 7:30 PM on November 1st at Emory University’s The Hatchery (1578 Avenue Place, Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia 30329).
Further details about the event schedule alongside the link and instructions for joining the event will be shared to registered attendees only.
How to get to the Hatchery and what is the parking arrangement there?
The Hatchery is located across from the Emory University and CDC campus within Emory Point. Parking is available directly across the street from the Hatchery in parking garage. Registered audience members can receive validation to cover cost of parking for up to 3 hours, upon their arrival to the Hatchery’s front sign-in desk.
How can I attend the Siggie Awards 2023?

What is the cost of attending the 2023 Siggie Awards?
Tickets are priced at a flat $40/person. If you are a sponsor and would like to secure tickets for the event contact sebastian@tie-atlanta.org.
Are there any deadlines for event registration to attend the 2023 Siggies Awards?
No, but there is a limited number of seats available for attending the 2023 Siggie Awards. Registration for event participation will remain open on a first-come-first-serve basis until all spots are booked out.
Where can I get the event schedule for the 2023 Siggie Awards?

What policies or precautions do you have in place for Covid-19?
At present, masks are optional for all those who are fully vaccinated (including booster shots). All attendees who are not fully vaccinated will be required to wear a mask.
